A plain-language look at the new features, and which cars get them.

Tesla released software update 2026.38 on September 30, 2026, according to Not a Tesla App. Here is what it adds.

New features

  • Better visuals. The center display shows higher-quality images of your car and an improved park scene. It applies to Model 3 and Model Y, and to cars with an AMD processor and HW3.
  • Dynamic headlight leveling. The low beams adjust their aim to driving conditions and nearby traffic, to improve your view and reduce glare for other drivers. Reported for Model 3 and Cybertruck.
  • Supercharger site maps. Tap View Site Map to see the layout of select Supercharger sites. At pilot locations, live occupancy (Available, Occupied or Down) appears when you arrive. Reported for cars with an Intel processor: Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y.
  • Security improvements. Security fixes and improvements on Model S, 3, X, Y and Cybertruck.

Smaller changes

  • Grok is no longer labeled beta.
  • Service Mode gets a quick language switch and an isolation alert in the High Voltage panel.
