VoltCoach ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app and this website collect and how it is used.
What stays on your device
Your vehicles, inspection checklists and photos, issues, documents (such as registration and insurance), charging and maintenance logs, saved items and settings are stored on your device. We do not receive them and cannot see them.
Information the app can use, with your permission
- Location: to show nearby chargers, plan trips and fill in inspection locations. Your location is sent to the charger-data service and the map app you choose only when you search.
- Camera and photos: to take and attach inspection photos and to import receipts or screenshots. Photos stay on your device unless you share a report.
- Notifications: for reminders you turn on. These are scheduled on your device.
- Face ID / passcode: optionally, to lock your Documents vault. We never receive biometric data.
Family sharing (optional)
If you turn on family sharing, the items you choose to share sync between invited family members through Apple iCloud. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and is not sent to us. Documents are shared only if you leave them switched on.
Third-party services
- Open Charge Map and similar data sources for charger information.
- Your maps app (Apple Maps, Google Maps or others) when you open directions.
- Retailers when you tap a Shop link. These sites have their own privacy policies and may set cookies.
- Cal.com and Stripe if you book a paid consultation; they collect the details you enter.
Affiliate links
Some Shop links are affiliate links. If you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Retailers may track the click according to their own policies.
Analytics and tracking
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. If we add anonymous usage reporting in the future, it will be optional, explained clearly and this policy will be updated first.
Tesla or Rivian accounts
The app does not currently ask for your Tesla or Rivian login. If we add this later, we will explain exactly what is accessed and how it is stored before you connect.
Your choices
You can turn off permissions in iOS Settings, delete any item in the app, stop family sharing, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. To ask about any data we may hold (for example emails you send us), contact hello@voltcoach.app.
Children
VoltCoach is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
